DAVID ROZEHNAL last night made a shock exit from Newcastle - with a parting blast for Kevin Keegan.
The Czech defender, 27, was furious with new manager Keegan after starting just two games in an unaccustomed midfield position. Rozehnal, one of former boss Sam Allardyce's first signings when he arrived from Paris St Germain for Ł2.9million last summer, has gone to Lazio on loan and will sign a permanent deal at the end of the season. He rapped: "I am bitter. I was looking forward to coming to Newcastle after playing at Club Brugge and PSG.

I don't like rotation

"Now I am not sure if this looks like a dream spell. I did not expect I would be sitting on the bench. "Once I played as right-back, then left-back, then in right midfield or as a defensive midfielder. "I don't like such rotation but I will fight on." While Rozehnal leaves for Italy, teenage Atalanta striker Fabio Zamblera heads in the opposite direction in a Ł300,000 deal. Zamblera, 17, has yet to make a first-team appearance for the Serie A side but Keegan has bagged the Italy Under-18 international on a three-year contract. Spanish club Levante have confirmed Keegan made a bid for centre-back Alvaro, 30, but pulled out of a possible deal. Levante chairman Julio Romero said: "It seems they changed their mind. They forgot to tell us about it." But Keegan yesterday blocked any move for 19-year-old striker Andy Carroll. The England Under-19 international had a loan spell with Preston this season and was wanted by Swindon in a loan switch.

Newcastle dump Rozehnal after six months
Newcastle defender David Rozehnal has left St James' Park just six months after moving to Tyneside, signing on loan with Lazio for the rest of the season.
The Czech international, who has played 25 times for the Magpies, joined from Paris St Germain for almost £3m in the summer but was guilty of a number of errors during Sam Allardyce's reign and has failed to impress new boss Kevin Keegan.

Rozehnal's Toon frustration
Czech international wants to be defensive regular. David Rozehnal has admitted he is 'bitter' about how his move to Newcastle has turned out. The Czech Republic international defender was signed in a Ł2.9million deal from Paris St Germain by former manager Sam Allardyce in the summer. But Rozehnal has admitted he is unhappy about the amount of time he spent on the bench under Allardyce, and how he has now been asked to play out of position by new boss Kevin Keegan. And with Euro 2008 looming on the horizon, Rozehnal knows he must be in action in his preferred position to secure his place in the Czech side.

Rozehnal moves to Lazio on loan
Newcastle United defender David Rozehnal has joined Lazio on loan for the remainder of the season. Rozehnal, 27, only joined the Magpies in the summer from Paris St Germain for £2.9m and has made 21 appearances. The defender has been deployed mainly in midfield since Kevin Keegan's arrival, with Steven Taylor and Claudio Cacapa preferred in central defence. "The offer came shortly before the deadline, but we managed to finish the deal," said his agent Pavel Ziko. Rozehnal is expected to move permanently in the summer.
Rozehnal seals Magpies exit

The unsettled Czech international has agreed a deal to join Italian side Lazio until the end of the season.Rozehnal made 25 appearances for the Magpies after being brought to the club in the summer from Paris St Germain by former manager Sam Allardyce. However, the 27-year-old had been employed as a makeshift midfielder following Kevin Keegan return as manager earlier this month and his agent claimed that prompted him to consider his options."David Rozehnal joined Newcastle only last summer but has not been playing in his position in defence," his representative Pavel Zika was quoted as saying."The Lazio offer came shortly before the transfer deadline, but we managed to finish the deal."
